Registration

Add money to the wallet

Pay from the wallet
You can do financial transactions with Hala merchants (sellers) by paying for a product or service. Individual transactions (within the platform)
Similar to merchant (payment) transactions, the Hala platform also allows you to make payments or transfers between individual Hala users – we have referred to this type of transaction as (peer-to-peer), meaning transferring funds to one of Hala›s active and registered individuals. Either by using mobile phone numbers, or simply scanning their QR code.
In the event that the other person is not registered with Hala, a short text message will be sent to him inviting him to register and start accepting transfers, and in this step the sender has the right to cancel the process and refund the amount in case the registration is not accepted by the recipient.

This type of peer-to-peer transaction also allows you to enter (memo) optional information to track the purpose of the conversion.
Money transfer
You will be provided at any time with the option to spend any available balance in your Hala wallet, and this does not mean that you are canceling or suspending your Hala user. The aim of the process of transferring any amount from your Hala wallet to any bank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will be asked to enter the number of the account to which the transfer will be transferred. The IBAN code must be specific to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the purpose of the transfer, the name of the beneficiary›s account, the date, and the type of transfer (normal / express).

Once the transaction is successfully executed, the funds will transfer from the Hala wallet account to the IBAN number of the intended bank account, and Hala will also provide you with a digital receipt of the transaction indicating the date, time, amount, and beneficiary of the process, and keep a record / track of this transaction within the (Archives) section In the platform.
Transfer fees are charged ranging between 7 Saudi Riyals to 10 Saudi Riyals, depending on the selection of the nature of the transfer (normal / express). If the IBAN is wrong, or the bank rejects the transaction for any reason, the amount will be refunded to the user (your Hala wallet) within 3 working days.
General Terms and Conditions:
- You hereby agree to notify Hala, immediately, of any unauthorized use of Hala Wallet, or any other security breach in relation to your wallet.
- Hala makes no representation, or guarantees that your Wallet Account is in good standing, or that we will authorize or approve any purchases from the merchant when you use the Wallet in connection with the purchase.
- The monthly recharge limit for your wallet should not exceed 20,000 Saudi Riyals and the average balance of 100,000 Saudi Riyals. In the event that any amounts exceed the monthly limit are received, the amount will be temporarily suspended until the next month with the allowed recharge limit.
- Hala reserves the right to reject any payment transaction that occurred through the Hala wallet, and also reserves the right to suspend / use your Hala wallet for any reason.
- You agree and hereby acknowledge that your purchases made through the Hala wallet are transactions between you and the merchant or between you and another person.
- It is permissible to use the mobile wallet service only in transactions made in Saudi Riyals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- By using the Hala Wallet platform to make purchases or transfers; You hereby authorize the use of a Hala wallet account to complete the payment process for the merchant or individual, and you authorize Hala or its other affiliated parties to process the payments with a deduction from your wallet for the purchase / transfer process.
- Hala is under no obligation to provide you with paper receipts or any other written representations related to the transaction that takes place on any merchant›s website or with any online merchant.
- Hala, in coordination with the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia, may impose restrictions on transactions conducted with individuals or merchants (the number of transactions per day and the maximum for each transaction). Hala provides the platform›s users on an ongoing basis with any restrictions imposed prior to its implementation.
- Hala may impose restrictions on the amounts that you can add to the wallet balance using your account, at our discretion and without prior notice.
- We as “HALA” will be sharing our customers information to “SIMAH” (Saudi National credit bureau) in order to receive from “SIMAH” our customers credit information, type of business, existing financial credit information. We also use the data to analyze the performance of our clients and to meet HALA’s legal obligations to conduct necessary research and assess information related to our client›s credit history.

Customer Service:
If you have any inquiries regarding payment transactions provided by the Hala Wallet service or you believe that there is an error or unauthorized transaction regarding payment transactions; please contact Hala customer service, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at (920000122), or by emailing us (support@hala.com) or through the customer care unit in the application and contacting one of our customer service representatives. Also, the customer will be contacted regarding the complaint within three (3) working days from the date of receiving the complaint, unless the customer confirms that the complaint has been handled by us.
- Hala and the partnered bank do not pay you any interest on wallet balances or any other service / financing for the Hala wallet.
- If, for any reason, your balance in the wallet becomes negative, then you authorize Hala to do the following:
- Automatic use of any incoming funds (including, but not limited to: adding funds to the wallet or funds received from transfers) in order to return your balance to a value of (0) Saudi Riyals.
- Asking another party to recover money from you, and return your Hala wallet balance to (0) Saudi Riyals.
- Hala may impose restrictions on your access to your Hala wallet balance, including restrictions on transactions using your wallet, temporarily or permanently, if we notice suspicious activity related to your wallet balance account.
- Hala bears no responsibility for restricting access to your wallet balance due to suspicious activity, and will not bear any responsibility in the following cases:
- If any merchant refuses to execute any transaction using the wallet balance, and that is if no mistake has been committed by Hala.
- If you do not have enough funds available in the wallet balance to make any purchase.
- If the transaction information provided by you or any other party is incorrect or inappropriate.
- If there are circumstances beyond our control (force majeure) that prevent any transaction, despite our reasonable precautions and measures.
- If the merchant is asking for an amount greater than the purchase amount.
- Your licenses under this clause will remain in effect while you are a customer and for a period of ninety days after termination or cancellation of services.
- Your transaction history will show you all your transactions that are directed to individuals or merchants through the application. You are responsible for reviewing your record and determining whether there are errors or processes that are not associated with you. You should contact Hala directly to report these transactions.
- Merchants and Individuals Transactions (P2P) records will be reflected in your transaction history with Hala and you will be responsible for reviewing your transaction activity to determine if there are any errors or unauthorized transactions, and to alert you to such events immediately. Hala will also provide the facility for you to email your data at any time.
- It is your responsibility to save or print a copy of your statement and keep your historical records. If your access to the Hala platform software is revoked for any reason, Hala will not allow you to access your stored data.
You may request “PDF” digital copies of some electronic records from Hala in your account and store them with Hala, subject to reasonable restrictions. Hala reserves the right to charge you for these hard copies.
- Information about operations, fees and charges;
- Hala must, when carrying out payments operations under the framework contract, provide or make available all the information related to the service to each of its clients before the customer approves any payment process
– subject to the provisions of Article 11-2 in accordance with SAMA’s regulatory rules, or at any other time the customer requests it, providing it within (3) working days from the date of the request, and the information includes the following:
- Table of fees, costs and commissions, including currency rates, transfers and withdrawal fees – as applicable to cases – when executing payments transactions executed under the provisions of the framework contract.
- Hala’s legal name, registered address and contact details.
- Formulas and procedures for submitting or withdrawing approval to create payment orders or perform payments operations.
- Agreed upon methods of communication between Hala and the customer.
- Agreed methods for preserving and protecting funds in accordance with the provisions of Article 14, according to SAMA’s Hala regulations.
- The mechanism and period of time that users of payment services must adhere to; Notify the payment service provider of any unauthorized, improperly created or executed payment process, and Hala’s responsibilities for unauthorized payments operations as described in Article (22).
- Information related to the conditions under which it may be permitted; Considering the Hala user›s acceptance of changes or modifications to the terms and conditions, the term of the contract, and the rights of both parties to terminate the framework contract.
- The maximum time period for implementing payment services.
- Hala must when executing payments operations under a one-time payments contract; Providing each of its clients with the information stipulated in Article 11-2 (a) before the customer agrees to any payment process -except for the information contained in Article 11-2 (a) (7), subject to the provisions of Article 11-2 (C). - Identification reference to enable the payee – and the payer when possible – to identify the payment process, and any data transferred with the payments process.
- The value of the payment process in the currency in which the funds were placed at the disposal of the payee. Depending on the currency used when the payee has the right to dispose of these funds.
- The value of any fees or costs to process payments are due from the payee.
- The currency exchange rate used in the payment process by the payee›s payment service provider, in cases where this is applicable.
- The date on which the value of the payments process was deposited into the payee›s account.
- The payer›s payment service provider must; Ensure that payment orders contain the following information:
- The name of the motive.
- The name of the payer›s account service provider, in applicable cases.
- The payer›s account number for payments, if applicable.
- Official identification number of the payer and customer identification number.
- The name of the payee.
- The name of the payment account service provider for the payee, in applicable cases.
- The payee’s account number, in applicable cases.
- A unique identifier for the payment process.
- The date and time of the payments process.
- The value of the payments process.
- Any item or other information determined by the institution independently.
- The Payee›s Payment Service Provider must; Apply the necessary procedures to detect and verify payments operations and whether any of the information stipulated in Article 11-2 (f) is incomplete or inaccurate,
– with the exception of payments operations established outside the Kingdom from the provisions of Article 11-2 (f) (4) The payee›s payment service provider may in this case; Do any of the following:
- Rejection of payment orders
- Obtaining missing or correct information from the payer›s payment service provider before depositing into a payee›s payments account or making funds available to the payee.

- The payment service provider must; Each client shall be provided with a historical record of payments executed under a framework contract at least once a month without fees, provided that the record includes details of the value of each payment transaction, its fees, costs, commissions, date and timing of its implementation and its reference numbers.
- Hala must, when carrying out payments operations under the framework contract, provide or make available all the information related to the service to each of its clients before the customer approves any payment process
- Hala may impose fees as stipulated in this document
- There are no fees due for transferring between individuals within the platform.
- The crown reimbursement fee is determined
- When filling your account with electronic cards, a fee of 1% in addition to value-added fees will be applied to successful recharge by bank card and a fee of 2% in addition to value-added fees for successful recharge by credit card.
- Any costs incurred by Hala by using a third party to recover funds from you may be calculated to display your wallet balance (cases in which your wallet balance is negative)
- Transfer fees range from 7 to 10 Saudi riyals when transferring your funds from your account balance from Hala to your physical bank account. Hala will not be responsible for any additional fees incurred by your bank or any financing channel for your financing amounts.
- When transferring cash, Hala will charge a fee of between 7 and 10 Saudi riyals from the balance of the Hala wallet to your actual IBAN bank account. Hala will not be responsible for any additional fees incurred by your bank or any payment channel for the recharge.
- Hala reserves the right to impose restrictions on some features of the service or restrict access to some or all of these services in the following cases:
- The conditions for rejecting payment orders were specified in a contract between the payment service user and Hala, and these conditions were not met.
- If Hala has reasons to suspect that the payment transaction is fraudulent or involves a money laundering or terrorist financing risk; or
- That the payment transaction violates any of Hala›s obligations under applicable laws or regulations.
- When the payment order is refused, Hala must (to the extent permitted by applicable law) notify the Hala user in a timely manner of the refusal and provide them with objectively justified reasons for the refusal, as well as details on how to correct the problem.
- It is not permissible to charge a Hala user with rejection fees unless these fees are stipulated in the contract concluded with Hala.
- Hala may delay, suspend, or cancel any process or transaction if the user submits a legitimate claim to Hala for refund or other cancellations and terminations, or (Hala, in its sole discretion, believes that the transaction is invalid, suspicious, or involving Misconduct or fraud, or on the other hand a violation of applicable Saudi law, this agreement or any of Hala›s policies in force.
- The Buyer is permitted to bear the cost or deduction from the Buyer›s Portfolio Balance, through Hala as an Agent of the Seller, when necessary to complete the payment transaction processing. The buyer is also authorized to record credit balances (registering for his account) or debit balances (debiting his account), as applicable, in the buyer›s wallet, through Hala as an agent for the seller, in connection with refunds, cancellations, refunds or settlements through the service by the seller.
- We may restrict or suspend your use of one or more of the services at any time, at our sole and absolute discretion. If we suspend your use of the Service, we will attempt to notify you by email and push notification. Suspending your use of the service will not affect your rights and obligations according to the terms of this service arising before or after this suspension or in relation to any unexpired services.
- The Hala wallet is designed for use on mobile devices, Android operating systems, Apple (iPhone OS) or any other devices or operating systems approved by Hala, as made available to you directly by your mobile network operator.
You are strictly prohibited from using the Hala Wallet on a mobile device, Android or Apple operating system, or any other device or operating system approved by Hala, which has been modified or customized in any way. You are solely responsible for the unauthorized use of the Hala Wallet on the modified mobile device, Android operating system, Apple operating system, or any other device or operating system approved by Hala. For example, Apple phones (jailbreaking) or Android devices (root) will increase the chances of someone stealing your identity and information and even conducting transactions on your behalf.
Hala will not be held responsible for any error, fraud or misuse of your Hala wallet if it exists and remains on a tampered with a device that significantly reduces the security levels.
- If you believe that your Hala wallet account has been opened or used in an unauthorized manner, you must contact us immediately.
- You will be notified immediately upon payment to someone you already know and trust. You should not send money to buy a product or donate to campaigns if you do not know or trust the person to whom you are sending money. - Hala may have arranged for the third-party providers to provide products or services to you through the Hala platform (third-party providers) in order to use these products or services, there may be a need for you to agree to additional terms and conditions from the third-party providers, and you may Subject to additional requirements from a third-party provider.
- Certain features of the Hala platform may be supported by advertising revenue and advertisements and promotions may be offered. In exchange for Hala granting you access or use of your Hala Card, you agree that Hala may place these advertisements. - You may choose to provide location data through your mobile device so that the mobile application can provide you with more ads, payment information,or other related services depending on your location.
- If you choose to provide location data, then you agree to the collection, use, sharing and transmission of website data, as described in the privacy policy.
